Junk Market Fall Edition

By August 20, 2014 3 Comments

Minneapolis has Junk Bonanza and Carrington North Dakota has Junk Fest.  Why can’t Fargo have something?  This was the question Tate and I asked ourselves two years ago.

If we had know what we were getting into we might have just let the idea fade away.  Just Kidding.  We love Junk Market.  We just never in our wildest dreams understand how much you would love it.

We get so excited when we hear how excited you are about Junk Market.  We lay awake at night with thoughts of how we can make it even better for you.  Well it might be the spicy enchiladas but we are going to call it “creative insomnia”.

With each event, Junk Market has grown.  What started as a one day event in the parking lot of Eco Chic Boutique with 33 vendors, has turned into a two day event at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds with almost 100 vendors.

Here are a few photos from that first day.

The first ever Junk Market in May of 2012.

The day was chilly but the crowd was so warm

One of our very first vendors to ever join Junk Market was Doug and Jaci with New Again Antiques.

We have been humbled and blessed by your continued support of our little love child we call Junk Market.

You will never know how you have impacted our lives and given us great hope to go forward with this event.  That is why we keep striving to make the event more and more enjoyable.  You are the reason we have expanded to THREE buildings and TWO days.  We want the experience to be comfortable to you.  We know our last event was such a success that it also caused congestion that hampered the enjoyment of your shopping experience.  We have taken care of that with the addition of two more buildings and the additional day of shopping.  The vendors will re-stock their booths on Friday night so Saturday there will be fresh new (old) junk.

Here are a few photos from our May event of 2014.

We love you for showing up, standing in line and being so darn lovely. We wish we could hug each one of you.

New Junk Market totes will be available for the Fall event. Did you notice our new logo?

There will be gobs (that is a word) of painted furniture for you to feast your eyes on at Junk Market. Just please don’t drool on the furniture.

Chokecherry Farms will be on hand again for all your pumpkin and pumpkin accessory needs. What really is a pumpkin accessory Maria? (gourds of course)

So please join us for Junk Market Sept 19th and 20th at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Did we mention there will also be two bars, coffee shop and four food stands.

It promises to be a great event.  Can’t wait to see you.
