The Eco Chic team is very busy this summer! We’re doing our best to share some of our favorite projects with you on the blog, so today we’re featuring a kitchen that we completed recently. The space was very nice to begin with, but the owners of this beautiful home were looking for something a little brighter, and more custom.
Eco Chic to the rescue! We livened up this kitchen by painting the cabinets and mantle with Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan in Old Ochre with a Clear Wax finish. We love how it turned out!
We of course get so excited to start that we don’t stop to take photos before all the doors are off. But this gives you a good idea of what it looked like before. It was already a beautiful kitchen.
Look at THIS! Wow how it lightened up and brought new life to an already beautiful place.
Isn’t it amazing how the countertops look new. They are the same ones as in the beginning but they sure have new life. They just pop a lot better now.
I of course wanted to live in this house once we were done. It had such amazing space and light throughout. Off the kitchen there was a cute and sunny little alcove that would be perfect for sipping on morning coffee and watching the birds. (Truth be told this might have happened one morning while I was taking a break from painting)
Around the corner was the bar area. This too was given a facelift. I of course forgot to take a before picture but the cabinets were the same color as the kitchen.
This project was a labor of love. We LOVED doing this for the homeowner and they were so gracious to work with.
I hope this gives you the courage and vision to tackle your cabinets. Go ahead. Give it a try. You will do great!
